Emmental is a yellow, medium-hard cheese that originated in the area around Emmental, in Switzerland, most commonly known as Swiss cheese. It brings a savoury though not very sharp taste. It melts well, is great in sandwiches & can be used in a variety of dishes, including pizza, and ravioli, where it is often accompanied by prosciutto.
